BABES + BUBBLES HOLIDAY BRUNCH

My #BERKUNHOLIDAY week continues, with all the details from my BABES + BUBBLES HOLIDAY BRUNCH! Every year I love to do something special for my ladies. We plan brunches, go to spa staycations together and celebrate friendships! Tis the season, right?

This year I really wanted to do a brunch at my house. I am very fortunate to call many girls my friends and I don't like to make anyone feel left out and excluded so the list was about 30 girls and 27 showed up. A full on dinner, ( I'm not a big caterer and I love to do everything myself), was a bit much for me to handle on my own. So, I opted for brunch.

TIP: If you're new to hosting or get a bit overwhelmed in the kitchen, a brunch is a perfect place to start. It doesn't require a ton of cooking, the food is fairly simple and it can be just as fancy and as beautiful as a dinner.

First things first! The theme. I knew I wanted all silver and gold to play up the glitziness of the holidays. So I stuck to my theme. My dining room is also all grey and I have this Z Gallerie Timber Table that is silver and always so festive. My dining room has tons of pops of gold from this Mirrored Buffet to my Maria Theresa chandelier.

I decided to play with a Disco Glitz theme and found these adorable holiday decorations from CB2.  My girlfriend Briana, also brought me this amazing owl as a hostess gift.

Now for the menu. A brunch doesn't have to be complicated. Think simple food that's full of flavor and easy to eat on the go, especially if you do a buffet style brunch like I did here.

Literally the only thing I made was my black truffle + black caviar deviled eggs. If you'd like the recipe I'll post to my stories on my instagram.

Everything else simply required lots of cutting and chopping the night before so that the morning of I was simply placing everything out and decorating. If you chop up meats and cheeses make sure you place each kind in individual zip lock bags and pop em back in the fridge, so that in the morning you simply lay them all out.

MENU

  • Deviled Eggs
  • Caviar + Crepes
  • Yogurt Parfait
  • Charcuterie Board
  • Cheese Board
  • Patisserie Trays
  • Bagels + Lox
  • Panettone
  • Macaroons
  • Shrimp on Cucumbers

Make sure you have plenty of fruit, herbs and nuts to decorate with. For instance I used sage, grapes and cumquats for my cheese board. My charcuterie board was decorated with dried blood oranges, a pomegranate, rosemary and persimmons.

For my bagel and lox section, I offered a plain cream cheese and  whipped up a fresh chive version. It was simple,  chop up fresh chives and mixed them with a whipped cream cheese, then garnish with more chives, VIOLA!

TIP: Serve your bagels on a paper towel holder like this one here.

If you're serving caviar make sure you have the proper red onions, hard boiled eggs and capers to go along with it. I love using this chopper to make sure everything is finely chopped and looks uniform. I also love a beautiful caviar server, this one from Horchow is so perfect!

Finally if you sprinkle some powdered sugar on your Panettone cake and macaroons it will look very festive like snow!

Let's move on to the bar. The most important part, right? I knew I wanted a champs // mimosas station and a bloody station. I partnered up with ONE HOPE for the bubbly. Not only is ONE HOPE the most incredible wine company with stunning bottles, but the message behind the company is even greater.

I selected these beautiful gold and silver sparkly bottles that not only matched my house but also my dress! It's a WIN!!! Just look at these beautiful GLITTER BOTTLES can't you just picture popping them on New Years Eve?! Looking for a last minute holiday present? Check out this beautiful selection of custom gifts.

For the mimosa station I selected peach and mango nectars that I poured into Gold Dipped Glass Vases from Target. I labeled each bottle with some pretty gift tags to accent the holiday sprit! For the garnishes fresh raspberries, cumquats and cranberries.

The bloody bar had a pitcher of bloody mix, some vodka, and a glass jar of tomato juice. Plus your typical garnishes; cocktail onions, cornichons, jalapeños, and these great bamboo cocktail picks for my guests to use.

TIP: Make sure you scatter flowers and candles all over the house. My gorgeous florals came from Fille Fleur Fee that specialize in all things floral + gifts.

Finally for the last and possibly the most important part. The cutlery, napkins and plates! No one likes to wash dishes after a fabulous soirée! However I hate the look and feel of paper plates and cheap cutlery. Especially since this wasn't a BBQ! So I found these gorgeous plates from Amazon that come in both silver and gold and ordered custom napkins with #BERKUNHOLIDAY for that little personal touch!

Well, that about wraps it all up! Here you have it, every little detail from the brunch... with exception to beautiful images of my girls :( I've been so busy and crazy this week that I accidentally deleted all the beautiful images from the party. AUGH! So bummed and so sad... I guess us girls will just have to live with the fabulous memories!

Happy Holidays My Friends!!!
